The Taiwanese company enters CES 2018 by announcing series of new notebooks and gaming laptops. Acer has launched Acer Swift 7, which according to the company is the world’s thinnest laptop, Acer Spin 3 (2018) a 360° dual-torque hinge convertible Notebook and the Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop along with the new Chromebook 11.

1Acer Swift 7:
Acer Swift 7 made of aluminum unibody measures 8.98mm making it the world’s thinnest laptop featuring a 14-inch full-HD touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT protection. The hardware of the device is powered by seventh-generation Intel Core i7 processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD storage.
The notebook packs a fingerprint scanner along with face detection support via Windows Hello. For connectivity, it supports LTE through the built-in Nano-SIM slot and eSIM functionality. The company claims to offer up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.
2Acer Spin 3
Spin 3 an all-day productivity and entertainment notebook sports 360-degree dual-torque hinge design which allows the device to work as laptop or tablet along with a space-saving tent mode.
It features a 14-inches full HD display with front-firing stereo speakers. The hardware is powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core processor along with a battery said to last for up to 12-hours.
The ports on the convertible notebook include USB ports, an HDMI port, and an AC adapter.
3Acer Nitro 5
The Nitro 5 gaming laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with a backlit keyboard. The hardware is powered by AMD Ryzen mobile processors coupled with AMD Radeon RX560 graphics. It offers up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of solid-state storage.
Powered by a NitroSense utility, monitors the CPU/GPU and adjusts cooling fan speeds via Acer CoolBoost. It comes with a front-facing HD web camera and high-quality speakers with Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony technology.
Connectivity includes USB Type-C, gigabit Ethernet, and HDMI 2.0.
Alongside Swift 7, Spin 3, Nitro 5, Acer also launched all-new Chromebook 11. The Chromebook 11 is offered in two variants CB311-8H and CB311-8HT. Both variants feature an 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. The hardware is powered by Intel Celeron processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The storage department offers 16GB and 32GB of eMMC storage options.
Connectivity options include two USB 3.0 port, Bluetooth v4.2, 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi, two USB Type-C ports. It has a battery said to last up to 10 hours which can be charged using either of any USB Type-C ports.
It packs an HDR camera for video conference and comes with an additional touchscreen variant.
Price and Availability:
Acer Swift 7 gets the price tag of $1,699 (Approx. Rs. 107,500) will be available from March the US, Spin 3 is priced at $599 (Approx. Rs. 37,900) with sales starting February, for Acer Nitro 5 users will have to pay $799 (Approx. Rs. 50,500), While Chromebook 11 is offered in €249 (Approx Rs. 18,950) in Europe, Middle East, and Africa with sale starting from March whereas North American markets will need to $249 (Approx. Rs. 15,800).
