Huawei has already made its way to the United States market with MediaPad tablets considered as one of the best budget android tablets with high-value specifications. The brand now once again looks all set for announcing its new upcoming affordable PC-tablet MediaPad M5.

The MediaPad M5 8.4-inch pc-tablet was recently spotted on FCC’s website a couple of days ago and now  3D renders alongside its 10.1-inch variant leaks online.

Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4-inch flaunts almost quite similar design just like its predecessor MediaPad M3. The front shooter sits at the center of the top bezel whereas the bottom bezel settles with a home button embedded with a fingerprint sensor.

The rear of the tablet has been redesigned. Huawei replaces the traditional chrome top with U-design antenna lines placed at top and bottom of the rear. The rear camera is relocated to the extreme top left corner and is slightly raised.

The power button and the volume buttons are placed on the right side of the device while the SIM tray on the left. The bottom is equipped with USB-C port which sits between dual speaker grilles located at left and right. For a disappointment, the brand excludes a 3.5mm audio jack.

On the other hand, the larger variant of the MediaPad M5 flaunts a slightly different look. The home button is relocated to the right side when held in landscape mode and to the bottom when in portrait.

The move looks reasonably valid as the home button will come embedded with a fingerprint sensor, moreover, landscape mode is the most practical way to use a tablet bearing 10.1-inches.

Moreover, while consuming media content, the thumb naturally rests on the right making it more convenient to unlock when picked up.

Moving on towards the rear, the device flaunts same U-design antenna lines seen on the 8-inch variant alongside a single long line type speaker grille placed at the top with three connection pins at the bottom. A power button and volume buttons are placed at the right.

The 3D renders still looks incomplete as there is no sign of a USB-port as well as a 3.5mm audio jack, although we cannot hinder the removal of the headphone jack.

Further, Huawei MediaPad M5 is expected to be announced at MWC 2018 event next month held in Barcelona. As for the aesthetics, rumors suggest the tablet will be powered by Kirin 960 SoC on the 8-inch variant, whereas the 10.1-inch variant specifications remain unknown.

The brand seems to have excluded the “Lite” banner attached to the 10.1-inch variant and thus we can expect high end-specs like its 8.4-inch variant.
