Huawei expands its mid-range smartphone segment by announcing the all-new Y9 (2018) in Thailand on Sunday. The device shares many similarities with the Mate 10 Lite announced last year in October.

Price and Availability
The device is offered in black, blue and gold color options and it is already up for sales in Thailand. The global launch and pricing details remain unknown so far but it is expected very soon with a rumored price tag of around €200 (Approx. $246 /Rs. 16,000).

Huawei Y9 (2018) flaunts a full metal unibody design with taller 18:9 front. It sports a 5.93-inch FHD+ LCD IPS display bearing a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.
Under the hood, it happens to be an octa-core Kirin 659 processor mated with 3GB of RAM. Storage department offers 32GB of onboard storage further expandable with the help of a microSD card.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the device gets a Quad camera setup which includes a 16MP primary sensor on the back alongside a 2MP secondary depth sensing sensor. Whereas the front gets a 13MP primary shooter coupled with 2MP secondary depth sensing sensor.
It is fueled by a massive 4,000 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with custom EMUI 8.0 on top.
Finally, the device measures just 7.9 millimeters thick and weighs 170 grams. In addition, it gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor alongside standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
