Moto Z2 Force launched in India 2018

Lenovo-owned Motorola on Thursday announced its new smartphone named Moto Z2 Force in India. For a recap, the device was launched in the US a year back followed by the launch in the country today.

Alongside the device, the brand is also offering a free Moto TurboPower Pack mod which connects to the rear of the device using 16-pin magnetic connector providing an extra 3,490mAh battery capacity.

Price and Availability 

The Moto Z2 Force will be offered only in black color with a price tag of Rs. 34,999(Approx $547). For the availability, the device will go up on sales starting February 15 11:59 pm IST exclusively via online partner Flipkart as well as Moto Hub stores. Alongside the device, you will also get a TurboPower Pack Moto Mod worth Rs 5,999 for free.

The smartphone flaunts a Full-metal unibody chassis processed with nano-coating which acts as a water repellent. It sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) POLED ShatterShield display that comes with a 4-year guarantee against screen breakage with drops and falls.

The hardware of the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC integrated with 6GB RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. Storage department offers 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

As far as the cameras are concerned the rear gets a dual camera setup which includes two 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensors embedded with 1 Bayer and 1 Clear lens of f/2.0 apertures for depth of field effects. It also features Zero Shutter Lag, PDAF, Laser Autofocus, and a color correlated temperature (CCT) dual-LED flash.

While the front packs a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture, 85-degree wide-angle lens, and a flashlight.

The operating system is managed by Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The fingerprint sensor sits on the front. It is fueled by a 2730mAh battery which supports Turbo Charging capable of providing up to 8 hours of battery life with 15 minutes of charge.

The overall strength of the device goes up to 6,220mAh when attached to a PowerPack mod. It measures 155.8x76x6.1mm and weighs 143 grams.

Connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer.
