Smartphone manufacturers recently adopted a trend of ditching traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack. They started offering USB Type-C port which served as multi-purpose providing fast charging, data transfers and even served as music output.
Users were left with no option but to use Bluetooth headsets or new USB Type-C earphones/headsets for music playback. The main drawback of the Bluetooth headsets was the often need of charge as the battery discharges quickly whereas for the Type-C it causes a question how to charge the phone when using a USB Type-C adapter.
Nokia joins the Bluetooth race and announced its new Bluetooth Headsets (BH-501) in China. However, the company claims the wearable is capable of delivering up to 144 hours of standby time and 72 hours of continuous playback life with a single charge, making it a perfect device on the go.
For the aesthetics, it comes with an aluminum body using a brushed metal design. The string measures 50cm and gets featherweight of weighing just 15, which is perfect for long hours of music playback.
Further, the earbud sports three-button in-line remote mainly for volume adjustment, call answering and rejection. It gets IP55 rating making it water and dust resistance, so using them in rains or rough conditions won’t be a problem.
Nokia Bluetooth Headsets (BH-501) is offered in black color with a price tag of 299 Yuan (Approx. $46/ Rs. 2900). There are no words on the global launch as of now.
