Sharp Japanese multinational corporation expands its mid-range smartphone line-up with the launch of Android One S3 in Japan. The Android One S3 a successor to last year’s Android One S2 with some boast in specifications and relatively higher price tag.

Price and Availability
The Android One S3 is offered in Black, White, Green and Pink color options with a price tag of 32,400 Yen (Approx. $297/ Rs. 19,000). The device is already up for sales in Japan, while other markets including Taiwan may experience the launch soon.

The Android One S3 flaunts traditional design bearing 16:9 aspect ratio with thick bezels at the top as well as the bottom. However, the device gets waterproof (IPX 5/8) and dustproof (IP 6 X) ratings which allows you to listen to music and watching movies even in the bath.
It sports a 5-inch IGZO full HD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The IGZO display comes with optimal sensitivity adjustment allowing you to operate comfortably even if water droplet sticks to the screen.
The hardware of the device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with 3 GB RAM. Storage department offers 32 GB of onboard storage expandable up to 256 GB with a microSD card.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the rear primary camera packs a 13.1-megapixel sensor with LED flash. While the front gets a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.
It runs on latest Android 8.0 out of the box. The hardware is fueled by a 2,700 mAh battery. It measures 144 x 71 x 8.5 mm and weighs 143 grams.
